I founded Zenith Motorcycles in 2013, disillusioned with the motorcycle industry in the UK and particularly London. I had worked for many years for other workshops and Motorcycles businesses and simply found myself at a point in my career where I couldn’t continue forwards working for someone else. I had experienced the very worse of customer services and workshops (and some of the best) and found myself very close to losing my love for motorcycles and anything to do with them.
I first started riding at the age of 16, commuting to school in central London on my 50cc Yamaha Jog, however I had been around bikes all my like. My father, a keen Triumph owner and Grandfather a former employee of JAP motorcycles taught me at a very early age about the beauty and wonder of the motorcycle and all of its glorious, workings. At the age of 5 or 6 I could be found with my Father stripping his latest classic British bike down to bare frame in our kitchen at home. I became obsessed with the workings of the combustion engine and how these two wheeled objects could move under their own power.
At 17, I passed my full motorcycle license and brought my first real motorcycle, a 250cc Triumph Trail blazer. Since then, the passion for motorcycles grew and my passion for the people riding the motorcycles grew along with it. I had a few un fulfilling jobs that didn’t involve bikes in my early 20’s but I just couldn’t seem to settle and fit into an every day office job. The call of the bike engine was louder then any secure 9-5 job, and I had to follow my heart. I gained my experience firstly in motorcycle parts and sales, all the time watching and hanging out in the workshop with my mechanic colleagues, stealing their knowledge and experience. In the evening and weekends I read every workshop manual I could find, every book on mechanical engineering was added to my vastly expanding collection of motorcycle mechanical books and my hunger for knowledge not only of mechanics but also of the motorcycle industry steadily became fed.
In September 2013, after finding the ideal business premises in Tottenham, North London, the borough in which my my family has lived in for over 150 years I opened the door to my dream, Zenith Motorcycles Ltd. Along side my head technician Garry and our mechanics Cosmo and Laszlo we have slowly but surely established ourselves as a local motorcycle workshop that can be trusted.
Being a local business has given us many things, the first being the most amazing and varied customers that any business could possibly ever wish for. We recently became a contractor for our local authority, the London borough of Haringey and we are starting to become name known in the North London motorcycle scene.
My team and I have around 60 combined years knowledge of mechanical engineering within the motorcycle industry and we never stop learning. We are a small, local business but that doesn’t mean we are inferior to main dealers. Our labour rates are one of the lowest in London and we try to make our customer service second to none.
We have ambition and passion both for bikes, bikers and the world we share.
